Thor: Love and Thunder is a 2022 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Thor produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is a direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and is the 29th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Directed by Taika Waititi, who co-wrote Jennifer Katin Robinson, the film stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor alongside Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Jamie Alexander, Waititi, Russell Crowe, and Natalie Portman. In the movie, Thor struggles to find inner peace, but is brought back to work by Valkyrie (Thompson), Korg (Waititi), and Jane Foster (Portman), now Mighty Thor, seeking a godly body should Gore do the taking ( confidence).The destruction of all gods.

Hemsworth and Waititi discussed plans for a Ragnarok sequel in January 2018. Love & Thunder was announced in July 2019 and Hemsworth, Waititi and Thompson are all set to return with Portman not appearing in Ragnarok. Waititi wanted to separate Love and Thunder from Ragnarok, looking for an 80s romance and adventure film. Robinson joined the script in February 2020 to contribute to the script, with additional casting announced later that year, including a Guardians of the Galaxy appearance. Production began in late 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filming eventually began in Sydney, Australia in January 2021 and ended early June.

Releasing Date:

Thor: Love and Thunder premieres on June 23, 2022, at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. The film premieres in the United States on July 8, 2022, in the United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand. July 6, 2022, and in Australia on July 7, 2022. In 4DX, RealD 3D, IMAX, ScreenX and Dolby Cinema, it was originally slated for a November 5, 2021 release, but was postponed to February 18, 2022, due to the pandemic. COVID-19 was then moved for a week to February 11, where Doctor Strange delayed November 2021 to March 2022 on the Multiverse of Madness before returning in October 2021 to July 2022. Until May 6, 2022, in December 2020, part of the fourth instalment of the MCU.
